Stealing boredom

Really interesting picture. This can be very true and although I have a real love/hate relationship with my views on technology and children this quote particularly stands out for me. Ipads are usually used in a context to keep children busy whether that be to keep them entertained whilst you’re cooking dinner, working or cleaning, to keep them quiet or to distract them. But, are children missing out on being bored and experiencing life if we just give them an iPad to play with? When a child is bored they will find something to do but if theyre used to getting an iPad immediately do they miss out on the opportunity to explore, live, learn, develop and play?

There is more to life than technology.

I’m sure that a lot of you are currently working from home too and its really important to switch off at the end of the day. Although we may be closing all the Internet tabs its important to close theirs in our head too. Lots of jobs are hard to switch off from but think of you and close that tab.

Be careful what you say.

The impact of trauma

Oh how things have changed. I was born in 1996 so had the privilege of growing up in a time where outside play was the norm. However, the 2020 picture sums up life now. The outdoors is a beautiful place that should be enjoyed by children and adults alike. We need a little more 1995 and lot less 2020.
